Astra Health had an experienced product team and a growing mobile roadmap, but limited React Native capacity. CipherCross added one senior engineer to the existing team to take ownership of production mobile work inside its established delivery process.

The challenge

Product, backend, design and QA were already moving, but too much mobile implementation depended on a small number of engineers. Roadmap features queued behind maintenance work, technical debt competed for the same capacity, and permanent hiring could not match the product schedule. The team did not need a separate delivery process or another management layer. It needed an engineer who could learn the existing codebase, follow the team's architecture and review standards, and work directly with product, design, backend and QA.

Technical matching

We matched a senior React Native engineer to Astra Health's stack, product stage and immediate backlog. The handover covered architecture, release practices, coding standards and the feature areas where extra ownership would help most.

Structured onboarding

The engineer joined the client's communication, planning, repository and documentation flow. The first production task covered the full path from local setup through code review, QA and release.

Embedded sprint delivery

After onboarding, the engineer worked from the same backlog, joined the same ceremonies and collaborated directly with product, design, backend and QA. Astra Health did not have to run a parallel agency workflow.

Feature ownership

The role grew from scoped tickets to complete mobile features, including clarification, implementation, analytics, tests, edge cases, review feedback, QA support and release follow-up.

Ongoing collaboration

Capacity shifted between roadmap work, technical debt, performance and production issues as priorities changed. Astra Health kept control of the backlog, architecture and final approval.
